DIN Rail Clip for Gas Discharge Surge Protector

Pulse Gas Discharge Surge Protectors must be installed with a connection to ground. Pulse provides a number of options to assist with this connection as follows…   

o    Each Surge Protector is supplied with an unterminated lug which can be crimped to a 6mm2 (10AWG) DC cable (not supplied). The DC cable length should be as short as practicable (not more than 330mm) and as straight as practicable, with a connection to ground at the other end.    

o    A Pulse Earth Cable Assembly is available (part # PGDSP-Cable-330-10-6-10). Connect this cable to the surge protector at one end and to ground at the other. Again, this cable should be installed as short and straight as practicable. If necessary, cut, shorten and re-terminate the earth cable using the spare lug that’s supplied free with the Surge Protector.   

o    A Pulse Mounting Bracket is available (part # PGDSP-Mount-L). This can be fitted to the Gas Discharge Surge Protector (in place of the lug) and fixed to a grounded member – serving the dual purpose of holding the Surge Protector securely and providing a connection to earth.
